The housing market has experienced some changes, and if you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, that may leave you wondering:
Should I buy a home this year? Is it still a good time to sell a home?
The real estate market in the metro-west area has been experiencing a surge in demand and a short supply of inventory, leading to a highly competitive market. Despite higher interest rates compared to last year, home prices continue to remain steady throughout the area. This is due mainly to the low supply of available homes for sale.
For sellers, the current market conditions present an opportunity to take advantage of the still historically high home sale prices. However, it's important to note that it's crucial to price a home appropriately in order to attract more discerning buyers. Improperly priced homes are resulting in accumulating days on market.
For buyers, the market remains competitive, but with the slower pace of price appreciation, there may be more opportunities to find a home at a reasonable price, especially if it was improperly priced.
